How can I workout at home and maintain my motivation consistently

Are you currently struggling with a lack of motivation and finding it difficult to muster up the energy to hit the gym?Perhaps you are wondering whether at-home workouts are effective? Let’s work together to find the inspiration you need to overcome your doubts and get back on the path towards achieving your fitness goals.

Be realistic

It’s essential to be realistic when setting your fitness goals. Starting with small steps can prevent you from feeling overwhelmed. Instead of scheduling five 60-minute workouts per week, focus on committing to three 15-minute workouts per week and slowly increase it.

This will become natural over time and will help you make progress. Remember that it’s better to exercise regularly with shorter sessions than to workout once per week for 60 minutes.

Schedule your workouts

I like to plan my workouts ahead of time. For example, on Sunday evening, when you are planning your week, you can add your workout sessions to your calendar.

Let’s say Monday is my son’s soccer practice and Wednesday I have a doctor’s appointment. Now, let’s add these three workout sessions to your calendar.

It’s a simple yet effective way to hold yourself accountable. When you have your workouts scheduled, you’ll feel more guilty if you skip them.

Keep these old pants of yours that no longer fit you

You might think I’m crazy, but I’ve been keeping my old pants that I don’t wear anymore in my closet for years. They serve two purposes – firstly, they are my goal to fit in them again, and secondly, they help me track my progress. From time to time, I like to try them on.
This brings me to my next tip ….

Don’t rely solely on weighing yourself

When working out, relying solely on the scale can be misleading due to factors such as muscle gain, hydration level, and salt intake. For more information, click on this article.
